How does military dominate women and culture?

In this reading by Grace Cho we underrated how the U.S. military had a strong dominance over Korean women. Yanggongju, literally meaning “Western princess,” broadly refers to a Korean woman who has sexual relations with Americans. it is most often used to refer to a woman who is a prostitute for the U.S military. He describes the role of Korean women when marrying a white American as a part of the American Dream for social assimilation, which makes me think that the military in some ways fantasies that the American Dream is part of other cultures as well. "the United States imagines itself as a site of liberation and a nation of saviors, a fantasy that is mutually supported by both the producers of this knowledge [American Dream] and the subject that informs” this statement is also being used by Chao to reflect on the idea that Americans culture is better than others. However, we see that Chao touches on the topic that U.S. military also hides their traumatic histories when it comes to prostituition in their country, which makes us think that generations of Korean Americans will be exposed to the idea that Korean women were more likable to be seen as prostitutes than Americans women, in my opinion it affects the relation of culture versus assimilation. Assimilation of one culture is more likely to do one thing than another, and it comes from the power that the government has over the country and its military group.
